In a creek or pond, every plant, animal and insect lives together.  This is called a Habitat. A creek is a good place to live because there is lots of water.  There are also lots of plants that give homes and food. Ponds have a steady temperature. This means that the water is not too hot and not too cold all the time. In a creek do you think the temperature would stay the same?  Why or why not? 

All of the bugs (insects) and animals depend on the plants to live.

We are going to learn more about the habitat in a creek by creating a picture. You will either be creating a word document or a Kidspiration picture about the creek. Listen to your teacher and follow directions to be able to create the page.

As we look outside, we are starting to see the seasons change.  How do you think this will make the pond and stream change?
