The first project will be to learn about Indiana History and the second will be planning a vacation for your family visiting famous and fun sites throughout Indiana. |

| We know that Indiana has been influenced by at least three major groups of people who settled in our state. The English, French and Native American Tribes all have had an impact on Indiana culture. Your assignment is to visit the University of Texas web site to find how these cultures have influenced the names of cities, towns, rivers and lakes in our state. You will list the name along with the culture of influence. |

Indiana has a rich cultural heritage of famous sons and daughters. Many musicians, authors, entertainers, sports figures and politicians have called Indiana their home.
You are to select a famous Hoosier and research their lives and contributions to America. When you have gathered all the information, you will create a hyperstudio presentation to share with your class. Below you will find links which will give you biographies of famous Hoosiers.
